Complete the Mission Project (CtMP) is purely volunteer group developed in 2013 to combat Veterans Homelessness and Veterans Suicide. As the “Network” came together we noticed that our ability to help Veterans and their families reached throughout the State of New York and as far south as Fayetteville, North Carolina.
CtMP is committed to assisting active duty service members and all veterans with disabilities in their transition to civilian careers. We also assist individuals with disabilities to achieve and attain employment. Our intent enable our clients achieve and maintain independent living through training, education, rehabilitation, and career development.
Complete the Mission Project (CtMP) works in partnership with other military and veteran service organizations, to provide direct assistance or referral to those organizations whose core mission may appropriately meet the needs of the service member or veteran.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is the nationwide primary resource for assisting veterans with their post military needs such as health care, housing, and with vocational rehabilitation employment services. Individuals must apply for this service through the VA, meet their eligibility criteria; honorable discharge, have a twenty (20%) or higher rating, and apply within ten (10) years of discharge from active duty. Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR & E) which is the equivalent of state vocational rehabilitation programs.
The New York State Division of Veterans Affairs will assist any New York State current active personnel or veteran with; starting a claim before discharge, student loans, New York State income tax exemptions, employment, care and attendance
